Commentary:US, UN launch joint probe into deadly Afghan raid
News reports say that a team consisting of NATO , US and UN officials investigate the charges by the Afghan government that the US air strike resulted in the deaths of 90 civilians. The US officials are still insisting that only 5 civilians were killed. However, the UN team has found convincing evidence that more than 90 civilian were killed in the air strike.
Study shows that the US strikes always resulted in heavy civilian casualties. Their senseless actions have turned the Afghan people against them. It is advised that they must stop their unilateral air strikes.
