US Marines have not yet succeeded in capturing Marjah. The marine spokesman himself accepted, they are facing tough resistance and have not yet been able to bring peace in the areas. He also told us that militants are present in very part of the city.

Reports say that there are 40 militants in Marjah. It is strange to note that well-trained and well-equipment marines not able to accomplish their task despite heavy firepower and air power.

NATO’s Civilian Chief said that they are moving slowly to avoid civilian casually. In my opinion, he is bluffing. Taliban's men have inflicted heavy losses to them. The losses compelled them to slow down their advance. Americans and Afghan armies have also not the support of the local population.

Americans have pushed arch rivals India and Pakistan to start a start dialogue.  They desire to bring peace between the two nuclear rivals. They think that this will enable Pakistan to commit more troops to fight terror outfits in the Pakistan’s tribal region.

I know American pressure has compelled them to sit together and chat. The Question is: will the Feb 25 meeting bring any results?

In my opinion, it will not produce any results.  Indians think that Jihadi networks in Pakistan are carrying out subversive activities in India. They complain that Pakistan has not prosecuted the people responsible for terror attacks in India.  Pakistan says that evidences provided by India are not enough to prosecute alleged terrorists in Pakistani courts.

I think matter should be remitted to UN nations.  India should present its evidence there.  If evidences are found true than the UN must put pressure on Pakistan to dismantle terror networks in Pakistan and nab the criminals in Pakistan.

In my opinion, Pakistan should not hand him  over  to Americans. He is Mullah Omer's top man. Everyone knows about Mullah Omer's relationship with ISI. Americans will try to use extracted information from  him to tame ISI.

Pakistanis authorities must know if they hand him over  to Americans  Afghan Talibans will unleash a campaign  of terror in Pakistani territories.

Pakistanis leaders should stop squabbling over petty issues and pay attention to the impending water crisis. Otherwise, country will face famine and electricity crisis.  It is reported that India has constructed a 22-kilometre long tunnel to divert Kishanganga waters to Wullar Lake in Jammu. This diversion will cause water shortage in Pakistan and reduce Pakistan's quota by 27  per cent.

It is strange to note that India has been constantly violating the Indus Waters Treaty. The mediator and signatory for the treaty, The World BanK, never took action against India. In 1990, it allowed India to complete Baglihardam on the Chenab.

Pakistan leaders should approach the World Bank and the United Nations to solve the water dispute.

India is also not realizing the implications of its actions. Water crisis can lead to another war in the region.   must know that war will also consume its resources and men power. India must desist using water as another instrument of terrorism against Pakistan. There are reports that India is inciting Afghanistan to build a dam over Kabul River. Kabul River also controbutes water to Indus River.

Deepak Chopra is said that Washington is funding both sides of war. He is a well known writer/thinker and expressed these views in CNN’s Larry King Live show.

I also agree with Deepak Chopra. I have always written in post that NATO and Americans are funding Taliban. It takes money, ammunition and food to fight a war. Who are supplying these things to Taliban in the mountains?

President Asif Ai Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani tell their nation that they are working on to find a way to stop drone attacks. They say that the government follow the recommendations of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security.

The attitude of our leaders tells us that they are afraid to confront America. CIA is carrying out these attacks under the guise of war on terror. We can simply shoot these drones in the name of national sovereignty.

Afghan government has been repeatedly making appeals to the international community to put pressure on ISAF to end their indiscriminate bombings. It is causing damage to properties and innocent lives.

Reports say that ISI’s political wing has been closed at the order of President Zardari. This political wing has been monitoring activities of civilian leaders in opposition and government.

Analysts are saying this action would reduce the army influence and involvement in politics.

In my opinion, this news has been published to please people in Washington. I know that this fragile democratic government cannot exert pressure on the army. In fact, they are dependent on them for their existence.

The Daily time reports that member of parliament from Punjab are opposing the imposition of tax on agriculture. They want to pass a resolution in the Punjab assembly to urge the federal government to abstain from levying tax.

These people are terming the federal government’s decision to impose tax on agriculture a Jewish conspiracy.

I shocked to hear that these people do not want to pay tax on their income. While ordinary Pakistan are paying taxes from their salaries. The government should go ahead with the tax reform. It should also initiate an inquiry to know how much these people are making money from their agricultural land.
